At request of many FIMF members a PDF version of the book – which is out of print - has just become available through the sponsoring of Prof. Rodrigo Posada. The book can be downloaded without any charge by the members of the FIMF Video Library.

The book illustrates the development of Neurotologic Microsurgery. Innovations are like vapor, they lay in the air of time and need for their realization the concurrence in one spot of multiple factors. These include: human interest, manual skills, technological and economic support. Zurich has assumed a central role in this development because fortunate circumstances had produced in this city the necessary accumulation of human and material conditions permitting the combined visionary effort involving multiple specialties (otology, neurosurgery and neuroradiology). Furthermore, there were at the time in central Europe various industrial companies with remarkable technical knowledge and the willingness to support the effort of the clinicians.
